Is Aristotle or Plato more responsible for contemporary discourse?
I searched different websites and what I'll have to say that it's hard to decide if Aristotle or Plato is more responsible for contemporary discourse. The reason is because there was a website that said Plato's philosophy was found in Aristotle's work. There was other websites that said Aristotle had better ideas and his philosophy made more sense than Plato. The principles of Aristotle or Plato still exist today by the way they use dialectic to persuade others. Just like the global leaders that we follow today as they use dialectic to persuade the masses to follow their agenda. These simple principles affect how we know what we know by the way people are influenced into what they are told. I'm not sure if Adolf Hitler said this, but if he did then I quote him; "If the lie is big enough people will believe it is real." This is another way of persuading people with following your hidden agenda. If you are a charismatic speaker you can get people to be attracted to your charm, and then the masses will follow you.

Hi Esau--
ReplyDeleteInteresting points you bring up here. What I find most intriguing about your post is that you choose to cite something incorrectly. What is the rhetorical effect of this approach? Check this link:

Can we believe it was Goebbels who created the Big Lie approach? Can we rely on Wikipedia? Can we rely on any information at all?
